Servanthood and Light Development Foundation(SELIDEF) is a Non- Governmental Christian Organisation, registered with the Non-Governmental Coordination Board Kenya in 1999 and operating in the Republic of Kenya, with its headquarters' in Kitale town and a liaison office in Nairobi City.
Servanthood and Light Development Foundation as a development facilitator and Non-governmental organisation, has a major focus on uplifting the socio-economic well-being of the majority poor and marginalised populations by empowering them in meeting their spiritual and physical needs.
We work in partnership with other organisations, Christian Ministries, Government of Kenya, Rural communities and Churches among others in impacting, touching and uplifting the wellbeing of poor rural communities with the LOVE of God through Jesus Christ by meeting their spiritual and physical needs.

To transform rural communities by working in partnership with like minded organizations to mobilize resources to improve their wellbeing by empowering them in meeting their physical and spiritual needs.
Goals and Objectives
To provide and increase access to modern energy services in the form of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and 12-Volt Batteries for cooking and lighting purposes respectively, to the rural poor and peri-urban communities.
To Preach the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with the overall aim of bringing salvation to all creation thus contributing to the great commission.
To uplift the socio-economic wellbeing of poor rural and peri-urban communities by empowering and challenging them to develop new concepts that will transform their lives and mitigate poverty in their midst.
To increase access of clean and safe drinking water to poor rural and peri-urban communities with the overall aim of eliminating water borne diseases, resulting from the consumption of contaminated water.
To protect and preserve our natural environment from destruction in the form of tree harvest for use as biomass fuel in the form of firewood for cooking. This is by encouraging the planting of trees.
To facilitate the setting up of community coalition-run orphanages by undertaking construction of the facilities.
Establishing of health centres with high quality low-cost treatment and psychosocial support services targeting especially malaria and HIV/AIDS patients.
Providing access to affordable credit facilities to the community coalitions with soft security
